Szilveszter Budapesten

..also known as 'me in about three weeks time':

Mai exact, dintr-un apartament dragut de pe malul Dunarii, langa podul am-uitat-cum-se-cheama-dar-luckily-i-have-the-best-friend-irina-to-remind-me :)) direct in the very fabulous Gellert Baths unde o sa ma rasfat cu apa termala de constant 44 grade C, o experienta descrisa de unii ca 'taking a bath in a cathedral'. Oh well, feel free to envy me :P

I want

  •  Noua carte a lui Chad Kultgen, care apare peste doar 210 zile :(((((
  •  Doua carti minunate ale lui Oliver Sacks, care m-a cucerit total cu The man who mistook his wife for a hat cand am citit-o pe plaja, in cateva ore, acum vreo 7-8 ani cred
  •  Cartea asta, just because
  • Asta, pentru coperta ;;)
  • For the yuminess, asta

And many, many others.. *sigh* Well, who knows, maybe if I behave...

I must be the luckiest girl alive

Because.

I have a Romanian friend with whom I used to spend incredible nights out laughing, dancing, drinking, watching shorts and doing all sorts of silly stuff, whom I met in Germany and is now in Scotland.

I have an Egyptian friend who is probably the wisest person ever, although you wouldn't guess it when you meet him, to whom I turn whenever I have doubts about something, and who is now in Switzerland.

I have a Czech friend who's one of the smartest people I've met, who cooks great traditional dishes, loves Sighisoara, had a Peruvian boyfriend and is now in Hong Kong.

I have some very dear friends who are spread across several continents, in Hungary, Spain, Italy, France, Finland, Turkey, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, the UK and many many other countries.

I often find myself torn by the feeling of terribly missing them and, although it's not fair, I've come to realize that I must be the luckiest girl alive to have got the chance to meet them even for the shortest time.

Ca tot e 1 Decembrie..

Step 29 – Finally get confident enough in Romanian to engage in the greatest sport played in this country, otherwise known as the Righteous Scolding.
In Romania, there’s a “correct” way of doing everything from putting on your socks to how to ride a bus and whenever anyone steps out of line, this is the time for a Righteous Scolding. You get to puff up your shoulders, use a very indignant tone of voice, perhaps some good finger waggling and lambaste the poor rule breaker with a good Righteous Scolding.

De aici. Absolutely delicious!
